This camp was right at the point where the trail continued mostly north and a little bit west to the JMT where that Hazardous Trail sign was. The next morning we let the trail go on its merry way as we did a short, easy cutoff, mostly west, to get to the JMT more directly, since we were heading back south. On our way north on the JMT days earlier we were kind of looking for when to go off trail, but never saw obvious enough clues, so we just hoofed it up to that good old water crossing of the JMT we knew so well.
