The story here is that we'd kind of gotten to moving pretty good on our hike out with the hope of making it to Florence Lake (reservoir) in time to phone for the 1:30 ferry. A glance had me think and say something about it looking like they'd let quite a bit of water out, but never really looking closely at it and actually thinking at the same time. I'm sure the Florence Lake people were quite amused with Julie on the phone saying we'd love to catch the 1:30 ferry ride back across the lake. The gal said something like "Honey, we'd love to come get you, but if you turn around you'll see we don't have a lake."
